It’s Valentine’s week. The shops are stacked with red hearts and chocolates. “You’re my favourite one.” “Two peas in a pod.” “You’re the Ross to my Rachel.” The cards are flying off the shelf. Within my job I am surrounded by them. I love LOVE so much. For me, I use Valentine’s as a reminder to love myself more than anything. Love is all around, every minute of every day but I do feel sometimes it’s hard to keep on top of loving yourself.
We’re doing Galentine’s this year and I am so excited about it. Celebrating friendship and how much we love each other is so special. I do always say, I really do have the best friends. This Valentine’s Day, write yourself a card. Tell yourself all the things you love about you. What you’re excited for in the future. The adventures you’ll get to go on with the one person that is legit never leaving your side. YOU.
Hey me,
Happy Val Day. Here’s what I love about you.
Your determination. How you don’t take yourself too seriously. The way you care so much, if not too much sometimes. Lol. Your creative brain. Your lil stretch marks. Your love for the sun. Your ability to romanticise every little part of life. How you lose yourself within a great book. Your friendships that you value so much. Your blonde hair, what a journey we’ve been through with that, hey? The colourful clothes that you wear. Your spontaneity. How you wear your heart on your sleeve. Your ability to love so much. How you make every little occasion something to celebrate. Also, how you love to host events too. You’re pretty great.
Keep doing what you’re doing.
Love, Me.
Treat yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how freakin’ awesome you are. Run a bath. Light candles. Read your favourite book. Put on a facemask. Watch your fave Netflix series.
Whatever you are up to this Val Day make sure to give yourself some lovin’. If you have a partner, yeah, give them some lovin’ too if you fancy. Btw, at Oliver Bonas we have the cutest cocktail recipe book called Free the Tipple and it contains cocktail recipes inspired by badass women. I legit love it so much and we’ve decided for Galentine’s this year we would pick a cocktail each and make it together. I also have the most gorgeous gold Oliver Bonas cocktail shaker that I purchased before I started working there. I’ve been an avid fan from the beginning lol. We’re gonna do cute décor, snacks, games, drinks and get a little dressed up and celebrate GIRLHOOD. I can’t wait!
Love is good. Love is fun. Let’s celebrate it all year round.
I am sending you all so much love and big hugs.
Ya girl,
Lucy Xxx
