Happy Saturday my gorgeous people! I hope you have had a lovely week so far. I know you’re probably thinking “Lucy babe, it’s not Sunday.” Yes, I know! This time tomorrow I will be in the air on my way to Croatia and I am so excited. I can’t wait to share my trip with you all! Okay. Welcome to this week’s blog post.
I remember one time going on an early morning drive, sat in the passenger side. The sun was beaming through the windows and onto my skin and BAM…there it was resting comfortably on my knee, a stretch mark. As I was growing up, of course like every human being I began to develop stretch marks mainly around my hips. I had seen so many "stretch mark reducing" products being advertised throughout the media and it made me think. "Why are we so ashamed to have literal PROOF of our bodies growing and evolving? " The media likes to glorify smooth ass skin with no lumps, bumps or dimples when the human body literally showcases all those things. Every blemish and patch of cellulite on our bodies is just reminding us that we are HUMAN BEINGS and not some illustration we used to see as a child.

When I spotted this stretch mark on my knee, I genuinely loved it. Golden and shimmering in the sun. I smiled to myself. Moving my knee back and forth so the stretch mark would catch the light in different ways. Stretch marks are so fucking beautiful. I love catching them in the mirror whilst I’m getting ready for the day, dancing around my room, my thighs jiggling as I jump up and down to the beat of the music. I hope you realise how gorgeous yours are too. They are tattoos of memories and experiences you’ve had throughout your life. It's so cool.
Whilst packing for my trip to Croatia I began to panic. I looked down at my body and thought to myself "ugh, should I have done an extra workout session prior to wearing my bikini on holiday?" Then it hit me, babe, NO ONE GIVES A FLYING F-. I can’t believe I allowed myself to feel like my body wasn’t worthy of wearing a bikini. Let me give you a step-by-step guide on how to achieve a bikini body:
STEP ONE: Buy a bikini.
STEP TWO: Put on said bikini.
VOILA: You have achieved a bikini body.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
Goodbye.

Lol, joking still here. Anyway, what I mean to say is, don’t ever let anyone make you feel like you can’t wear something because of your body type. If you are comfortable, happy and feel God-damn sexy in it then WEAR IT. Please take the time to catch your stretch marks in the sun today. Enjoy watching them shimmer. SO GORGEOUS OMG. Please. Do it!
If you feel like you’re not quite ready yet to look at your stretch marks in the mirror, just run your fingers over them if you like and have a feel. They are natural illustrations on your skin. Feel each bump and dimple and remind yourself that they are a part of you and that is something to be so proud of.
I’m sending so much love your way. Now if you don’t mind me, I’m going to go and run across a beach in my bikini with my thighs jiggling away and LIVE MY LIFE.
Big love ALWAYS,
Lucy Xxx
