HAPPY HALLOWEENNN! One of my FAVOURITE times of the year. Dressing up as someone else is what I do for a living but MY GOD, I just love doing it for fun anyway. Haha. How are you all?! I hope you’ve had an amazing week last week. I went out for Halloween on Saturday night dressed as Retro Aerobics Barbie and WOW it was SO FUN. What I do need to do is catch up on the Strictly Halloween special and eat unlimited amounts of Halloween snacks. Okay, lets delve in to our BBLL Halloween special.

I’ve been thinking about this post for a while now as it’s one I have been excited to create. I feel like there is such a stigma surrounding what you decide to dress up as for Halloween. As said in Mean Girls:

Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total sl*t and no other girls can say anything about it. The hardcore girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears.

When I was younger of course I never thought twice about my outfit choices for Halloween. All I cared about was how much candy I could fit into my pumpkin bucket. Lol. Now, at my ripe old age of 21 years old I do feel a sense of pressure each year when deciding what I’m going to dress up as. I also feel like sometimes you just cannot win. I personally love going sexy and “sl*tty” for Halloween however, I absolutely love seeing people opting for the comedic outfits too. Sophia and Cinzia (my faves) dressing up as Shrek and Fiona on their podcast last week absolutely made me CACKLE. If you dress sexy, you’re a sl*t but if you dress comedically, you’re a pick me. WE JUST CANNOT WIN.

I hope this Halloween, whatever your plans are, you don’t care one bit what anyone else thinks. If you feel comfortable and confident then OWN IT. If it makes you excited and genuinely happy then it is no one else’s business what you wear. Here’s some of my fave costumes right now, direct from my Pinterest board:

- BARBIE. Anyone you could possibly imagine. I’m talking Cowboy, Ballerina, Doctor, Safari, News Anchor, Mermaid, Stereotypical ah, the list goes on and on. I loved the Barbie movie so much as did so many, say hi to your fellow Barbie’s this Halloween.

- Voilet Beauregarde and Veruca Salt. Perfect for a duo or if you want to pick one or the other. Obsessed.

- Daphne and Velma. I did this last year. Super fun.

- Sabrina Spellman. All my fellow blonde bobbed babes.

- A Sexy Mouse. Sorry I had to.

- Also obsessed with anything Disney or Pixar. Fashion Nova have the coolest Halloween pieces over on their website. Jessie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, The Incredibles, SO MANY OPTIONS.

- I did see a TikTok of two kids dressed up as Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton whilst trick or treating, I beg please, someone do that this year.

There are endless possibilities for costumes this Halloween, I could go on and on, but these are just some I have been loving recently. Please. Enjoy yourselves. Dance the night away. Eat. Drink. Have no inhibitions. How fun is it dressing up as someone else for one night? Go ENJOY YOURSELVES. Have a great Halloween babes and a fabulous week. Sending all my love.
