"DUMB BLONDE"

Hey hey! It’s that time again. Happy Wednesday besties. Now, I don’t know about you but MY GOD this sunshine is giving me all the SEROTONIN. WOW. The sun has been shining and all of a sudden all my problems have melted away. Haha. No, actually I am still one overwhelmed girly pop lol but managing my emotions slightly better with the return of the sunshine. Let’s say a prayer that it decides to remain for the foreseeable. Thank you!! I am so excited for February. The month of love. Announcements coming real soon. So many exciting plans. Ugh. I love building a life that I love. Stay tuned for a special Valentine’s post next week but for now let’s talk about the famous “dumb blonde persona.”

Being a big-boobed and long-legged girly, I already find that I get sexualised regularly due to my body. Men feeling the need to dictate what I can and cannot give them. Like I’m some prize to be won. Period. Of course, I’m a prize to be won but only by someone who RESPECTS ME and MY BODY. If you think for a second, I would let a slimy little rodent take advantage of me you can think again. However, as a blonde, I have noticed that I seem to get put into another bracket of stereotypes being the dumb blonde.  People are sometimes shocked when I tell them about my blog and the fact, I CAN WRITE WORDS ABOUT MY BODY. God forbid hey?  They see a leggy blonde with big tits and form an opinion straight away. I was looking into the history of the “dumb blonde” persona and low and behold I found it originated in the 1770’s from a French play. YES. For that long, men have been dictating a women’s intelligence based on her exterior. Criminal. It makes me sad that it has become such a huge part of society for so long. I feel very fortunate that I have grown up exposed to so many badass women proving this idea wrong. I know how dumb (pardon the pun) it is but sadly it does still exist in society. The dumb blonde aesthetic is a way for men to project their insecurities onto women. The dumb blonde is frail and weak, unable to form her own opinions. Haha. Yeah, I know. Bullshit. This concept has been around for so long that it is almost engrained into our brains to be factual. The lighter the hair, the smaller the mind. HAHA. Yeah right. Let’s keep proving that theory wrong, shall we girlies?
